Over the years of being a wedding photographer, I’ve seen so many couples get rather anxious about the forecast for their big day, but I’m here to tell you that your wedding will be wonderful, whatever the weather…

After all, whether you aim to get the statistically best day for good weather in this country or not, you’re not always guaranteed wonderful conditions, and with a highly skilled, professional photographer, and a little creative flair, your wedding album will look brilliant and truly be something that you’ll treasure forever.

And don’t forget, my packages offer between 7 – 10 hours of my time, meaning we have plenty or time to catch any breaks in rain or different daylight and dusk hours of your big day. Plus, as I’ve been to most local venues before, I already know the sweet spots for the perfect pictures; and if not, I’ll be sure to visit the venue and be clued up on everything beforehand!

Sunshine:

Whilst many people dream of the sun beaming down on them as they say their ‘I Do’s it can also have its pitfalls. So, I will be looking for attractive areas of shade and offering different poses to compliment the sunshine so you’re not looking directly into it and not squinting. However, if you are lucky enough for blue skies on your big day, we can really give your photos a fresh, bright, fun feel to your photos and enjoy the great outdoors for as much of the day and as many of the photos as possible.

Rain:

Ahh, the dreaded rain! But never fear, rain on your wedding day is pretty likely and really won’t dampen your spirits as you become a married couple. And with some fun umbrellas or even bright wellies, you can really transform the smiles and the fun on your photos. Whether the kids brave the puddles or we take romantic kiss shots of the happy couple under the dramatic clouds, the contrast of the theatrical showers and the blissful love captures the artistry of a wedding with fabulous style.

Wind:

So you may think a gusty wedding day is the worst possible outcome, don’t be nervous! A light breeze or even stronger winds can sometimes provide a really dramatic effect. If you have a long veil for instance, there is something truly magnificent about capturing a kiss with a long, flowing silk veil behind!

So whatever the forecast for your big day, don’t worry! Focus your attention on planning the things you can have control over, and when the wedding day comes, let me take care of capturing your day beautifully, whatever the weather!

Just get in touch if you’d like to chat more about your ideas and dreams for photographing your big day.
